Message from the Principal

Dear HAWKS and Delhi Community!

Delhi High School is excited for the 2018-2019 School year!  Delhi High School is focused on improving student outcomes through commitments to Standards and Safety.

The summer of 2018 was extremely busy and demonstrated our commitment to "No Rest in the Nest!"

Thirty of our incoming freshman participated in the UC Merced Summer Math Academy.  There students were exposed to intense, Integrated Math I standards.  Students participated in the academy seven hours a day for nearly five weeks!  All students demonstrated growth against the standards.  Many of the students have qualified to move on to Integrated Math II!  Delhi High School would also like to thank Mr. Vang for teaching at the academy, and our UC Merced Talent Search Coordinator Eduardo Arellanes Loeza for creating such a wonderful opportunity!

Seven Delhi Medical Academy of Sciences students also completed CNA training through Merced College!  Also, two Business Pathway and FBLA students completed training with the Merced School Employees Federal Credit Union.  These students will be serving the Delhi community in our Hawks Branch! Congratulations to those Hawks and we appreciate your commitment to College and Career Readiness!

As we begin the 2018-2019, school is safety is of utmost importance to all of us here at Delhi High School.  We recognize the importance of building strong, healthy relationships with our students and community.  We will constantly remind and teach our students to:

Have Respect

Act Responsibly

Work with Honesty and Integrity

Keep High Expectations

Support the Community

In the nest, we also encourage students, staff, and community that if you SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING.  We now have an anonymous tip line and encourage everyone to use. We Tip.

If you have any questions or would like to come visit, please contact me anytime at bnickelson@delhiusd.org and schedule an appointment.

Sincerely,

Brett Nickelson
